Regency Orange Lemon with Pistachios

The first in our Historical Confections collection, this orange lemon ice cream with pistachios is inspired by a 1789 recipe by Frederick Nutt, apprentice of Domenico Negri. Negri opened the world's first ice cream shop, "The Pot and the Pineapple" in 1757 in Berkeley Square in London. In 1799, it became Gunter's Tea Shop and operated until 1956.
